About Shawn

Shawn holds a bachelors degree in psychology from Weber State University, and a masters degree in clinical social work from Utah State University. Shawn has also received post-graduate training in evidence based treatment methods including motivational Interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. His clinical work experience includes inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment, psychiatric crisis intervention and acute psychiatric inpatient care, adolescent residential treatment and family therapy, and general outpatient psychotherapy.

For most of his life, Shawn has lived along the foothills of the Wasatch where he enjoys all the mountains have to offer: trail running, backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowshoeing, skiing. With varying levels of enjoyment, Shawn also spends time working on antique cars, restoring his vintage home, and playing guitar. In his downtime, Shawn can often be found navigating the remote trails of the Southwest’s backcountry, rich with beauty and ancient history. What Shawn enjoys most in life is his family. Shawn is blessed to be the parent of four extraordinary children.
